SingMates was born in the workplace of a local business in Christchurch in 2019. Looking for a fun way to foster the wellbeing of their people – and inspired by the the BBC show The Choir – they approached vocal coach Trix Maeder to support them in setting up their own workplace choir. Two years later, their SingMates are still meeting once a week, filling one of their meeting rooms with beautiful harmonies, lots of laughter and uplifting team spirit.

SingMates turns your people into a singing crew, vocalising feel-good songs specifically tailored to your singers. As SingMates, work positions become irrelevant. The goal is to blend and become one voice with each other.

Anyone can join, because anyone has got a voice! Nobody needs to be able to read music or sing alone. This choir’s focus is not vocal performance, it’s fun & connection! It’s what music has always been about!
